About Pastor Jacob Stefanec
Pastor Jacob Stefanec joined St. Paul's Lutheran Church as our called pastor in the summer of 2026. He recently completed his studies at Concordia Theological Seminary, where he received a thorough theological education in preparation for pastoral ministry. Jacob and his wife, Abby, are both originally from the East Coast. Jacob grew up in New York, and Abby is from northern Maine, so the move to Maryland is a welcome return to the eastern seaboard for their family. They have two children: their son Oliver, who turns four in July, and their daughter Eden, who is nearly a year and a half old. As a family, they love hiking, visiting parks and playgrounds, reading books together, and trips to the zoo. Jacob's ordination and installation were held on August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow.
