On Saturday, October 17th, a group of volunteers met on the church grounds to build St. Paul's float for the Veterans Day Parade.
By the end of the day, a plain trailer had new walls, a fresh coat of black paint, banners, and more flags than we could count. One side reads "Thank You Veterans!" and the other "A Mighty Fortress Is Our God," with flags for each branch of the military lined up along the top.
Thank you to everyone who showed up with a drill, a paintbrush, or an extra set of hands.
Look for the float in the Veterans Day Parade in Leonardtown on Wednesday, November 11th, and give a wave when it goes by.
